Video Games Live

I am a man of culture, or at least, I like to think so. So when I received a promo from the Utah Symphony and Utah Opera to get a discount on tickets for the next eight months I decided I’d get some. After all, it’ll make a good impression on my date. ;-)

So I bought tickets to the annual Messiah Sing-In, Don Giovanni, and Carmina Burana. But then I see tickets for Video Games Live. What is this? I haven’t heard of this before. So I go to the website and read the following:

Video Games Live™ is an immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time. Top orchestras & choirs perform along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive entertainment experience!

Ooooo… I am so there. So I bought tickets for not only Elena and I but for the boys as well. Only problem now is that I have to wait until March. It just sounds so interesting, and nostalgic at the same time. If you watch the trailer there is a section where the symphony is playing while Frogger is up on the screen. The symphony playing music from Frogger! Too cool…
